Lana Louise Johnson was born November 7, 1952 in Mount Pleasant, TX to Eva Mae Bryson Mosley and Willie James Johnson, Sr. She passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2022 in Dallas, TX. In her early years, she accepted and believed in Jesus Christ and was a faithful and active member until her health declined. She graduated from the First Grade Class of 1959 Booker T. Washington High School. Lana later on became a correctional officer until forced to retire early. She then met and married James McKinney. Whenever she was able to, she enjoyed spending time with her sons and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters, Anna Johnson Cheatum, Peggy Johnson; her brothers, Michael D. Mosley, Jimmy Ray Floyd, A.D. Nickelberry, Sr., Arthur G. Peoples (Pete), Fredrick Johnson and one grandson, Braylen D. Godbolt. She leaves to cherish her beloved and precious memories, three sons; Reginald Johnson of Ontario, OR, Harold "Jody" Godbolt (Demetra) and Christopher Johnson all of Mesquite, TX; three sisters, Shelia Teague (Fred) of Shreveport, LA, Florence Hall (Rick) of Mount Pleasant, TX, Ervie Renee Johnson (Marlon, Sr.) of Cedar Hill, TX; two brothers, Willie James Johnson, Jr., (Nita) and Terrick Johnson (Shaun) of Mount Pleasant, TX; seven grandchildren; Cortez Mims, Genesis Godbolt, Jasiah Johnson, Calvin Bates, Janiya Johnson, Mariyah and Zariyah Godbolt; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
